Elf Flawless Finish Foundation

image

Hello my Beauties!
I meant to post this a few days ago but it’s busy season at work and time just got away from me…..  Here is my promised review on the Elf Flawless Finish Foundation ☺

I’m always on the look out for great drugstore foundations and since I love Elf products I thought I should try this one.

Elf has an awesome line of beauty products and at really great prices.  This foundation will run you about $6.00. You really can’t beat that.  I had very high hopes for this product but sadly it’s not for me.

Now the coverage I received from this was great but into maybe the second hour it was already starting to break down on me in certain areas and needed retouching. I tried using different primers and even no primer and it still didn’t change it for me. After about the 4th day I started to get breakouts on my nose, forehead and chin area and since nothing has changed in my routine except for this foundation I could only assume this was the cause and discontinued using it.

I know several people that have used this and it worked great for them so don’t let my review discourage you from trying it and I will definitely continue to use other elf products just not this one.

Now the search continues for the perfect drug store foundation. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Thank you for reading this and until next time, love you

Salon Perfect Brow Pomade

image

Happy Wednesday my Beauties! Today I have a little review on the Salon Perfect Brow Pomade.  Hope you enjoy!

About two weeks ago I was walking through my local Walmart, rather quickly I might add. You ask, why quickly? Well let me just tell you that if your local Walmart is anything like mine then the main goal should be to get in and out as fast as you can without killing anyone in the process! Sooooooo anyways there I was focused in the task of trying to get out of there and something caught my eye. I backed up and with wonder saw this Brow Pomade and because I’m weak I threw it into the cart and kept going!

Now I’ll be honest with you and tell you that until about six months ago I didn’t know anything about filling in my brows. I finally caught on and was using nyx eyebrow cake powder and have always wanted to try the Anastasia BH Dipbrow Pomade but sometimes I’m a little cheapy and just wasn’t gonna spend the $18.00! So this was the perfect opportunity for me to try a Pomade.

Wow! That was my first impression. This stuff is a creamy, long wearing color that defines, sculpts and fills in your eyebrows and it’s non smudging. It also came with a dual ended brush that enabled me draw the most precise line and the spoolie end that allowed me to blend it perfectly. Now when I saw its long lasting I mean it. I swatched it on my hand this morning and through a shower and many handwashes it is still there. I’ve been asked by many why is my hand all dirty, oops!

Now as far as I can tell this on my comes in 3 shades, blonde, light brown and dark brown.  The light brown works great for me. Now if any of these shades work for you, then I highly suggest that you try it out. It is only $4.88 at Walmart so really what do you have to lose?

Hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it. Until next time have a beautiful day!

LAQA&CO. Cheeky Lip

image

Hello my Beauties!
Here I go with my very first blog review! Are you excited? I know I am!

This past Friday I received my August 2015 Birchbox.  I always loved receiving this box every month but unfortunately had to cancel awhile back. Thanks to a very dear friend I received a 3 month gift subscription!

In this month’s box one of my samples was the LAQA & Co. Cheeky Lip. Now if you follow me on Instagram then you know I am a huge love of all things lippie related so I was super excited to try this out.
The color I received was Humble Brag. It’s a beautiful soft, matte crayon in what I would describe as rosey pink.  While it is matte, it is also very creamy and doesn’t really dry out. I wore this Friday night, all weekend and even again this morning. The lasting power is great. I applied this morning about 8am and still had color on my lips at 1pm. The full size retails for $22.00. Now a lip product has to be pretty stinkin special for me to pay that much so I will not be purchasing a full size one of these but I do definitely recommend this lippie and as a bonus it can also be used as cheek color!  I’ve included a swatch below.

I hope you enjoyed my first review. Please be sure to follow me for more.  Have a beautiful rest of your day!
