Too Faced HANGOVERx Primer

Todays post is going to be about one of my holy grail beauty products.  For many years I have had a ton of sensitivity issues when it comes to my face.  I have crazy skin that may be dry one day and oily the next.  I never know what kind of day its going to be face wise!  Recently I was diagnosed with Rosacea which answered a ton of the questions I have had over the years.

Now most of us know that if we want our foundation to apply smoothly and last all day then we need to apply a face primer before foundation.  My normal routine is cleanse, moisturize, prime and then foundation, leaving a few minutes in between each.

A few problems I have had with different primers.  Since my face can at times be on the oily side I have found that silicone based primers just make the natural oils on my skin ten times worse, but since  my face can also be dry at times I have noticed that other primers tend to not help any dry patches and they just become for prominent.  I have searched high and low for a primer that fits me and I finally found it!  Now I have been using this primer for quite awhile now (I am on my 3rd tube of it).  This is not a new primer and I am sure there are a million reviews on it, but since it is my holy grail primer I decided what better thing to do than to blog about my experience using it!

My holy grail primer is the Too Faced Hangoverx replenishing face primer.  This primer is seriously the best thing to happen to my make up application in a long time. As you can see from the picture the consistency of this primer is just like a lotion.  It absorbs nicely and feels so good on the skin.  Not oily or greasy at all and that is a huge plus for me.  This primer really helps keep your foundation from gathering into your fine lines and we all know about that!  No only does the Hangover Primer help in your foundation application but it also helps the overall appearance of your skin.  There have been several times even when I am not applying makeup that I just apply the primer over my moisturizer and it leaves me looking smooth and fresh faced.  Also when I am looking for things I am going to use on my skin, one of the first things I do is look at the ingredients  I am looking for water and SPF.  Now you would think SPF would be great.  In my case it is not.  some products that contain a high SPF tend to make my Rosacea flare up and my face burns and gets red and blotchy.  Trust me this does not feel or look good!  With that being said the very first ingredient in this primer is WATER!  I will list all of the ingredients below.

There have been plenty of times were I was in a rush and just threw everything in my bag only to realize when I went to do my makeup that I forgot to grab my primer and I will actually sit there and say DAMN!  That’s what kind of difference this primer makes in your makeup application, it is a huge one.

dr. brandt needles no more and 3-D filler mask!

Hello Loves!

Todays long overdue blog is going to be about two samples I received.

I received the 3-D filler mask from my good friend on instagram,  Nika ( you can find her at _KLOOBNIKA_ ) and the needles no more came in my monthly Sephora play box. So lets just dive right in.

For quite awhile I have looked for something that would help the wrinkles on my forehead and the really deep one I have next to my left eyebrow. This is where the needles no more comes into play.  I have wanted to try this for awhile so when I received it in my play box I was really excited.  The sample was .085 ounces and I was able to sparingly get about 5 uses out of it. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures of my face because not only was I starting to tell a difference but I had several ladies at work ask me if I was doing something different in my routine.

This product is meant to be used in the morning and evening.  You pat it on and smooth it into the areas of concern such as crows feet, frown lines, forehead wrinkles, etc.  I would have used it on my entire face had the sample been bigger!  Final verdict…. The next item was from Nika.  She hosted a small giveaway on her instagram and I was one of the lucky winners chosen to receive a sample of the 3-D filler mask.

The 3-D mask is meant to be used daily and you apply it on your cleansed face from your chin to your cheek bones, smoothing it out as you go.  I noticed a definite difference on my smile lines. My sample was .35 ounces and I was able to get about 10 days from it! Sad fact is that now at 37 I am realizing and wishing that I had paid better attention to my skin and taken better care of it when I was in my late teens and into my twenties. One of the first items I received was a 1 oz sample of Cetaphil Moisturizing cream.  I have used this in the past and was glad to see a sample of it!  I recently had a major skin issue with my face and this cream was a life saver! The sample was the perfect size for my purse and I use it daily. Want to know more about it just read my previous post.

  
The second item I received was a full size bottle of Pure Ice nail polish in the color Home Run which I loved the name because I am a true baseball girl!  I have used Pure Ice in the past and loved it, the color I received was gorgeous but I had to apply four coats before I even saw decent color pay off.  I do not like this in a nail polish at all.

  
The third item I received was Biscoff cookies! I LOVE THESE COOKIES!!!! I love them with hot tea, coffee or just alone.  I just love them.  if you have not tried them then you need to stop reading and go buy some! Oh and get you some of the Biscoff cookie butter as well because its just amazing!

  
The fourth item I received was Kiss lashes and lash glue.  Now let me tell you. I have only tried false lashes once in my life time and I was so frustrated and fed up that I gave up and tossed them in the garbage, but for reviewing purposes I had to give it another go. WOW! these lashes went on effortlessly and were so comfortable that I forgot I was wearing them.  I already have naturally long curly lashes (please don’t hate me) so they didn’t really do much for me but I did purpose several more pairs in different styles! The pictures above is without lashes on the top and with in the bottom.

  
The fifth item I received was a spider-man ittybitty from Hallmark.  Until I researched it I had no idea there were so many ittybittys out there.  If you can think it them there is probably an ittybitty for it!  Mine is currently watching over me in my office at work until I see my grandson again and then it will go to him.

The sixth thing  received was an eyeliner in dark brown from NYC.  Now I am not a fan of eyeliner and hardly ever wear it and this is no exception.  I did try it but for me it was no different than the hundreds of liners I have tried in the past.

The last thing I received was a coupon for Ore ida tater tots and I actually made the Blue cheese burger Totchos from the Kraft website and they were delicious.  Also here in Fort Worth there is a fabulous burger place called Freds.  They have the best Texas loaded cheese fries ever so I decided to make my own using tater tots.  It consisted of golden fried tots, sauteed slivers of onion, think pieces of beautiful crunchy bacon, jalapenos and loads of cheese!  I am making myself hungry!

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream

Hello Ladies!

This review is going to be on a wonderful little product I received in the #jinglevoxbox from Ifluenster.  As several may be aware of I have extreme eczema that only gets worse in the cold weather.  So when I saw this little gem I was excited to try it out.

My sample is a 1 oz container which by all standards is a good size sample and mine just hangs out in the black hole that I like to call my purse! Now this cream really does not have a smell, there is no greasy residue or lingering slipperiness as it absorbs rather quickly.

I have used it all over my skin, from my eyelids all the way down to my feet.  I little of it really does go a long way and just in the few short weeks of me using it, my skin has improved greatly.  As you can see by the amount I have used up, I really like this stuff.

You can find the Cetaphil brand at most retailers, This particular one retails for $12.97 for a 16 ounce tub at Walmart.  They carry face and body cleansers, face and body moisturizers, a few different products for acne prone and eczema prone skin like mine and even a baby line of products.  You guys should definitely check them out.

Ponds Clean Sweep Original Clean Wet Cleansing Towelette

  Ok ladies, let me start by apologizing for neglecting my blog. 😕 This is my extremely busy season at work and with the holidays and getting ready to travel things have just gotten out of hand. I have so many things to post for you and one of my goals in the New Year is to manage my blog better. On to the review….

Today we are reviewing the Ponds clean sweep original clean, wet cleansing cloth. I received these complimentary from Influenter for testing and review purposes and the opinions are all mine.

One simple question. Do they work? Yes and they do a pretty dang good job. For everyday of my work week I wear a full face of makeup and one wipe removed every bit of makeup that was caked onto my lovely face, lol. I really didn’t notice a smell at all. I have sensitive skin and these didn’t seem to bother it at all. The only thing I didn’t care about is they were too soapy or wet for me. As I cleaned there was a soapy film build up that for many people it is no biggie just not something I care for. 

These towelettes come in the ones I received in Original Clean pictured above and also in Evening Soothe and Luminous Clean. They retail at Target and Walmart for less than $5.00. Influenster also sent a $1.00 off coupon so I did actually repurchase and will be giving them to my daughter.   

Would I recommend?  Yes, for one wipe to remove an entire face of makeup is pretty dang good for me I just wish they weren’t soapy. Until next time 😘

L’oreal Pro – Infallible Spray & Set

Hey ladies!

Today we are going to talk about the L’Oreal Paris Pro – Infallible Spray & set makeup extender.

First of all let me tell you a secret!  I have only been serious about makeup for almost a year now. I did not know what setting sprays were, this was completely foreign to me. Then one day I received the Target beauty box and it had a full size bottle of this stuff and thought ok I will give it a try, see what all the fuss is about.  It set around on my vanity for quite awhile before I used it and when I decided to try it I quickly wondered where it had been all my life!

This spray kept my makeup flawless all day long and even kept my oiliness under great control.

I ended up going through an entire bottle of this and a trail size. In the days following me running out completely, I noticed that my foundation was melting off and my skin was getting oily and I thought, wow was the spray what kept it from doing that?????? So I promptly took my tail back to target and got another bottle and sure enough the next day my makeup was perfect all day!  Now I don’t have anything to compare this too since this is the first one I have ever used but I do know that at  $13.99 for 3.4 ounces is cheaper than the high end ones you can buy. I say go get you one today.. GO! what are you waiting for?

I will definitely make sure that I do not run out of this again!

Today I will be writing about this amazing leave in conditioning spray that came to me in not only one but two different subscription boxes.

First let me fill you in on something. I have horrible hair, I mean the absolute worst hair ever. It comes from many years of coloring or perming and just overall not taking care of it. I am always looking for some miracle spray or cream to help it. So when I got the first bottle I was thrilled to the bone to use it!

This product is amazing! After just using it for the first time I could tell a huge difference, I mean a WOW kind of difference! Ive gone through both bottles already.

Taken directly from their website it claims the following….

4) Adds amazing shine
5) Repairs damaged hair

Out of those ten things they listed not one of them is untrue!  It even smells amazing, I can’t really describe the smell, it has a slight citrusy blend which is totally ok with me because I am a lover of all things citrusy.

It retails for $24.95 for a 4 ounce spray on their website and I think it is definitely worth every penny. They even have a shampoo and conditioner that I want to try so badly…

If you have badly damaged, dry, frizzy hair like me that is constantly breaking I would definitely give this a try.

e.l.f. And how I use it to clean my face!

Good morning loves!
Today’s post is going to be about my face cleaning routine and what I use. I hope you enjoy.

Two months ago I ordered the Skincare daily face cleanser, Skincare exfoliating scrub and the Skincare daily hydration moisturizer from e.l.f.
All three are pictured above so let’s get into it.

I use the daily face cleanser each morning and again at bedtime. I love this stuff! I have extremely sensitive skin and this is one of the few cleansers I have found that does not cause me any irritation at all. It does an amazing job at removing all of my makeup and leaves my skin super soft. The best thing about this cleanser is a little goes a long way and even after two months instill have plenty left! This is $7.00 for 3.72 fluid ounces.

Next up is the daily hydration moisturizer. Same as above on this one! I use it twice a day and it absorbs into my skin very nicely, not thick or greasy feeling and as above a little goes a long way. Now I did read a lot of reviews on this where people were stating that just after a few uses the pump stopped working. I’ve never had any issues with the pump on this.
This is $8.00 for 2.53 fluid ounces.

Last up is the exfoliating scrub. I love exfoliating cleansers and scrubs, however I usually prefer the the scrubbing granules be very fine like sugar or sand. The granules in this scrub are bigger and because I have sensitive skin I opt to only use the scrub once a week. Just like the last two products this stuff is also amazing and a little does what you need!  This is $6.00 for 3.8 fluid ounces.

In my overall opinion e.l.f is very highly underrated a lot! I have several products from this company and they are great and at such affordable prices. For the most part you can find their makeup products at Target, Walmart and CVS. Most anything else can be found on their website and they’ve always had really quick shipping when I’ve ordered.

Wet n Wild megalast liquid lip color.

If you follow my instagram then it’s obvious that I love lip products especially liquid to Matte lip products.

Today’s review is on the new Wet n Wild liquid lippies.

I purchased four of these for .99 cents at a local grocery store. The swatches below are Pink Perfection, Pocketful of Roses, Iris I was Rich and Cherry on Top.

Now here are my thoughts on these, remember they were only .99 cents. The colors are actually very pretty. It applies very well and for just a minute they are slightly sticky. Once they dry, my lips feel extremely patchy so I’m having the urge to constantly check myself in the mirror. If you lick your lips because the dryness is to much to handle then it flakes of and is over my lips.

However,  I do find that these apply slightly better if you use a lip primer before applying or a gloss top coat after application.

Now please don’t take this the wrong way. I love Wet n Wild products, gosh I’ve been using them for 20 years.  Just these lippies didn’t do it for me.

L’Oréal Infallible Pro-matte Foundation

Sorry for the absence lately, I was having some issues posting but I’m hoping it all works from here on out!

In my quest to find a drug store Matte finish foundation I purchased this L’Oréal Infallible Pro-matte Foundation.

I think my search is over! This stuff is great and actually does what it says it does. I have an oily t-zone and usually just a few hours after applying my foundation you can really see the oiliness coming through. Not with this! I usually pair this foundation with the L’Oréal Infallible setting spray and have had zero oiliness and therefore zero complaints from me.

Now in my opinion it is a little pricy for a drugstore foundation but for me it’s completely worth it! I give this foundation 5 out 5 stars! Have you tried it? What were your thoughts?
